When “More” Becomes Meaning

It has been a while since I last wrote here, but sometimes life gifts us moments so powerful that they simply ask to be shared. Recently, I had the chance to meet two incredible young minds, Milena from Bulgaria and Titus from Romania,  who have joined Inclusion Go as volunteers through the European Solidarity Corps. Their arrival was made possible thanks to the support of the Italian network GIOSEF, and their presence already feels like a new chapter in our shared story.

When I see Milena and Titus taking their first steps in this journey, I can’t help but think of my own beginnings, that moment when I chose to leave behind familiar places and people to follow something “more.” At that time, I couldn’t fully understand what that more meant. I only knew it was something worth dedicating my energy, my love, and my belief in change to.

Now, as I watch these two volunteers begin their adventure, I realize that this more has become my responsibility. It’s in their curiosity, their courage, their hope. It’s in every young person who decides to take part in something bigger than themselves, in every dream that crosses borders to find a place where it can grow.

I feel incredibly happy, even if it’s hard to contain such emotions. Maybe that’s why, after a long time, I felt the need to write again, to remind myself how amazing life can be when it’s shared with people who believe, who care, and who dare to make a difference.

Because, in the end, what truly shapes our journey are not just the projects we create, but the people we meet along the way those who remind us that every step toward inclusion and solidarity is a step toward a better version of ourselves.

The best is yet to come....

2025 has been one of the most meaningful years of my life....both personally and professionally. Turning 33 felt like reaching a new milestone, a point where experience, purpose, and gratitude finally meet! Through my ongoing journey with Inclusion Go, I’ve continued to grow not only as a youth worker but as a human being deeply connected to the people and communities I serve.

This April, we gathered in Brindisi Montagna for the YEAR project, a unique experience that brought together young people from five EU countries to explore and reflect on human rights. For me, this topic is not just a field of work, it’s a calling. Since completing my EVS, I have felt an even stronger responsibility to advocate for equality, peace, and respect for every person, regardless of their background. Working with youth has allowed me to witness how awareness can become action, and how dialogue can shape a more just world.

During those days in Brindisi Montagna and around our region, surrounded by curious, open-minded participants, I felt once again that the essence of youth work lies in connection, between cultures, generations, and hearts. We shared stories, built bridges of understanding, and rediscovered what it means to belong to this planet together and be part of a "bigger picture".

I also feel incredibly grateful because throughout all these journeys, I have never walked alone. Maja, my soulmate and life companion, has always been there, helping me to see the depth of our work and reminding me of the love and passion behind it. Together, we have turned challenges into lessons and projects into opportunities to bring people closer.

Looking back, I see the YEAR project as a raw diamond, a small but precious moment that has added new clarity to my path. Each activity, each conversation, each smile from a young participant makes my life more transparent, more luminous. It reminds me why I chose to dedicate myself to this mission: to help young people believe in themselves, in each other, and in a more peaceful tomorrow.

Youth Worker… in Action! Back to Help Decision Makers and Young Makers

AFA - Art for Action a new adventures in NFE!

It feels good to be back, and sometimes there are experiences that truly inspire you and remind you why you do what you do. Art for Action was one of those moments. It was a project where I could see young people and decision makers coming together, making a real difference through dialogue, creativity and cooperation.

As a youth worker my main focus has always been to help young people grow, reduce barriers to participation and feel part of their communities. And sometimes you get to witness that happening in front of your eyes, and it gives you a deep sense of purpose. Since my EVS experience I have been constantly engaged in helping our NGO develop new opportunities for youth, meeting inspiring people and communities that truly believe in participation and solidarity.

For this reason I would like to thank AIART from Potenza and Simply Services from Malta, who invited me to be part of this amazing journey and to support this group of young people in exploring what active participation and civic engagement really mean. Throughout the project I had the chance to meet incredible individuals, to see young minds growing in confidence and to watch communities come together to face challenges and build a stronger and more inclusive future.

Art for Action reminded me that real change starts when people listen, collaborate and believe that their actions can make a difference. Seeing youth and decision makers share the same space, ideas and hopes was one of the most powerful outcomes I could have asked for.
